This Program has been designed for photographers by photographers.
Focal Point prides itself on being different than other photography schools. Our learning environment is a stimulating and friendly place where coordinators, instructors, and students are all on a first name basis. A walk down our halls shows our long-standing commitment to photography in Vancouver as evidenced by the display of work from instructors and students from the last 35+ years. Also reflecting our interest in photography is our extensive camera collection showing the evolution of the camera from the 1800’s up to the present day.
Focal Point’s facilities are fully equipped with a digital lab, 3 large studios (one of them with a 14 foot wide cove), several classrooms, and six self-contained professional black and white darkrooms. We have a wide array of photographic lighting equipment and cameras ranging from 35mm to 4x5.
